EFCC, Judiciary in Renewed Synergy against Corruption in GombeThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC and the Judiciary have re-echoed their resolve to collaborate more in order to combat economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.

This pact was made recently when the Gombe Acting Zonal Director, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE I A.S.M Adache paid courtesy visits to the Resident Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Amina Aliyu Mohammed and the Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Halima Shamaki Mohammed in Gombe, Gombe State.

While receiving Adache and his team, Justice Aliyu Mohammed re-affirmed her commitment to the Nigerian project stressing that the existing synergy with the EFCC will boost the fight against corruption.In a similar response, Justice Halima Mohammed who was visibly happy with the visit, alongside her team, Justices A. M. Yakubu and H. H. Kereng, commended the EFCC for its good works. "The EFCC is working. The Commission is one of the good things that has happened to us as a country.

Imagine an unhandled crisis in a society, it would surely backfire on us all but with collaboration, all agencies will achieve their goal of sanitising the system", she said.Justices A. M. Yakubu and H. H. Kereng and others also commended the EFCC and assured Adache of their commitment and readiness to support the Commission.In a similar development, the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Gombe State Chapter, Alhasssan Muazu , paid a courtesy visit to the Directorate.

He also sought collaboration and support from the EFCC in addressing issues of misconduct of legal practitioners stressing that progress could only be made when agencies work together in unity.Adache assured the Association of the readiness of EFCC to continue to collaborate with all stakeholders in the discharge of its mandate.
