The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday 20th March, 2013 organized a lecture on fire prevention and management for its members of staff. According to Natasha Umar, Head Facility, the essence of the lecture is to sensitize staff on the danger of fire outbreaks both in the work place and at home.

The defendant and his company allegedly obtained the sum of N2,640, 141, 707.75 ( Two Billion, Six Hundred and Forty Million; One Hundred and Forty One Thousand; Seven Hundred and Seven Naira, Seventy Five Kobo ) being payments obtained from the Petroleum Support Fund for the purported importation of 33.3 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit.

He was alleged to have fraudulently obtained the sum of $640 (Six hundred and forty USD) from one Derrich Hass via Western Money Union Transfer. The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charge.
